Classes

Sassy Jazz

Sassy Jazz is about embodying the right amount of sassy attitude and confidence while learning new ways to dance and move. With a feminine vibe, this class is all about FUN and the right amount of challenge. We will work on how to walk across the stage, strike a pose and how to hold ourselves gracefully while dancing.

Exploring the full spectrum of strong and soft movement while learning about dynamics, turns and coordination. We’ll also learn some simple, sassy & powerful choreography and basic jazz technique.

Spicy tuesdays

In these classes we will turn the heat up, exploring playful, sensual and sexy movement in high heels. We will also work with a chair and on the floor, letting go of some of our inhibitions in a safe and supported space. Come with a sense of curiosity and play and bring your own heels.

Contemporary

Contemporary classes incorporate lots of flow, foundation training, body awareness and moving exercises across the floor. We also experiment with contemporary floor techniques. We try different approaches to improv and experiment with choreographed movement sequences. With lots of space to add your own personal dance flare and vibe. Come with an open mind and the will to move your body as a whole.

Soft contemporary

Soft Contemporary - a softer, slower approach to contemporary dance. Aimed at the more mature dance lovers who want a regular dance practice but might need a slower pace and something more suited for an aging body or one with recovering injuries. Or if you just want to take it slow. We will DANCE, laugh, play and get creative while exploring new movement in a supported space.

All you need to bring is a water bottle and socks.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable dancing in.

Come with an open and curious mind.

Please respect everyone’s schedules by being on time. Try to arrive at least 5 min prior to class.

How to prepare for a class?

What to expect from your first class?

If you’ve never attended a dance class, it’s normal to feel nervous, like you’re stepping out of your comfort zone - which you are. Your body might be moving in ways it has never done before and needs some time to adjust. Muscle memory is real and takes a while to build up. This is why you’ll gain more and more from each consecutive class you come to.

If you feel sore the next day - don’t worry! You can view this as amazing feedback from your new workout!

Taking the time to join a dance class is a beautiful gift for yourself. It’s never too late to start something new!
